Gina Carano, known as Cara Dune on The Mandalorian is no longer part of the Star Wars franchise. As of February 10, 2021, she is no longer employed by Lucasfilm. Lucasfilm’s representative stated there are also no other plans for her future in the franchise.

Statement from LucusFilm Representative:

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”- LucasFilm

Gina Carano had been reported as sharing anti-Semitic remarks in her social media, on her instagram story. This was captured by several fans of The Mandalorian and the franchise Star Wars. Her political views were also mentioned as she had previously made a comment regarding mask wearing, her dislike for black lives matter, and voting fraud.

Carano was reportedly on the verge of receiving a spin off from the popular show. However, that door is now no longer open or a possibility. Based off the statement from LucusFilm.
